
Har Ki Pauri
One of the Tourist places in Haridwar is Har ki Pauri which basically means footsteps of the Lord. It is the holy ghat where river Ganges touches the plains after winding its ways through the Himalayan ranges. Visitors flock along this pious ghat around dawn to take a holy dip. during the Ganga Aarati.
It is mesmerising to watch the whole ghat getting illuminated by the shimmering lights of the three-tiered lamps of fire in the hands of the priests . Additionally, devotees float thousands of diyas on the surface of the water giving the river Ganges an ethereal aura of beauty. A prime attraction during the day time is a footprint imprinted on a wall which is believed to belong to Lord Vishnu.

Chandi Devi Temple
Chandi Devi Temple, Haridwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi in the holy city of Haridwar in the Uttarakhand state of India. The temple is situated atop the Neel Parvat on the Eastern summit of the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas.
Located at 4 km from Haridwar, main idol in Chandi Devi temple was believed to be established by great saint Adi Shankaracharya in 8th AD. Present structure was constructed by King of Kashmir Suchan Singh. Along with Maya Devi and Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi completes the trio of Siddhpeeth.

Mansa Devi Temple
Mansa Devi Temple is one of the most revered temples located at Bilwa Parvat near Haridwar. This temple is a holy place to worship Goddess Mansa, who is believed to be a form of Shakti, emerged from the mind of great Sage Kashyap. Mansa Devi temple is a famous Siddhpeeth and offers panoramic views of Haridwar city.
There is a rope way service called Mansa Devi Udankhatola, available from Haridwar. Mansa Devi temple remains open from 8 am to 5 pm and visited by hundreds of devotee’s every day.

Shanti Kunj
Shantikunj is a world-renowned ashram and the headquarter of All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP) located in Haridwar. Bharat Mata Mandir
Bharat Mata Mandir, which is also known as Mother India Temple, is one of the most visited temples located in Haridwar. The temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata by her devoted patriotic nationals. This religious shrine was founded by Swami Satyamitranand Giri. In 1983, this temple was inaugurated by Late Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi. As the conception of Bharat Mata predates the Partition of India, she is intended to represent "Aryavarta", the motherland of Hinduism in Hindu Nationalism, not merely restricted to the secular Republic of India, and Bharat Mata remains a symbol of the "vision of a unified motherland" in Hindu nationalist thought. Bharat Mata temples exist in the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi University, inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936 and another in Haridwar built in 1983 by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

Bara Bazar
For visitors wishing to indulge in shopping for what Haridwar is famous for, Bara Bazar is one of the Tourist places in Haridwar. This colorful Bazar is the main marketplace of the city. The traditional Bazar which meanders through narrow lanes is full of shops selling religious paraphernalia like Rudraksha seeds, to ayurvedic products and medicines to Churans and digestive powders to handcrafted materials and ornaments.
For sweet lovers, sweet shops are selling various sweets. A special mention is “Pedas” , the local specialty made from milk. For visitors wishing to fulfill a pang of hunger, there are food vendors and small restaurants.

Rajaji National Park
Rajaji National Park is situated along the hills and foothills of Shiwalik ranges in the Himalayan foothills and represents the Shiwalik eco-system. Combining three sanctuaries, namely Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji - Rajaji National Park is spread over the Pauri Garwal, Dehradun and Saharanpur districts of Uttarakhand.
The Motichur and Rajaji sanctuaries are contiguous, and are separated from the Chilla Sanctuary to the south-east by the Ganges River and the Chilla River.

Piran Kaliyar Sharif
The ‘Dargah’ of Hazrat Makhdum Allauddin Ali Ahamed ‘Sabir’ on the outskirts of Roorkee town is a worth-visit-place for every visitor. It is situated towards the south of Haridwar. This place is one of the living examples of unity between the Hindu and Muslim religions.
Famed for its mystical powers that fulfill the desires of the devout, the Dargah is visited by millions of devotees from all religions from India and abroad. The Urs is celebrated at this Dargah every year, from the first day of sighting the moon to the sixteenth day during the Rabeeull month of the Islamic calendar.

Daksha Mahadev Temple
Daksha Mahadev Temple, which is also known as Daksheswara Mahadev Temple, is one of the oldest temples Located in Kankhal in Haridwar and is one of the Places to see in Haridwar.Dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati, the temple was named after Goddess Swati’s father, King Daksha Prajapati.
The temple houses a Yajna Kund and also has a thousand year old Banyan tree. The Daksha ghat on the left of the main temple allows devotees to take a dip in the holy Ganga River. The temple becomes exceptionally beautiful with elaborate decorations during the Maha Shivaratri.

Parad Shivling
Parad Shivling is a unique Shivling worshipped at Harihar Ashram and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shivling was offered first prayer during the Kumbh Mela in 1986. The name Parad Shivling literally means Mercury Shivling. This holy Shivling is made from 151 kg of pure Mercury.
Thousands of devotees visit the Harihar Ashram to offer prayers to the Parad Shivling and the shrine is also known as Paradeshwar Mahadev. There is another beautiful temple of Maha Mrityunjay in the ashram premises dedicated to Lord Shiva and there is also a big Rudraksha tree.

Saptrishi Ashram
Saptrishi Ashram is yet another popular Haridwar tourist place to visit. Founded by Guru Goswami Dutt, the ashram is well-known for its peaceful vibes which is ideal for meditation. Yoga lovers and other spiritual seekers visit this place throughout the year due to its religious significance.
The ashram is located the bank of river Ganga, at a point from where the river splits into seven different streams, also known as sapto sarovars. There is also a well-maintained residential hostel located inside the complex.
